From Westchester County/Connecticut:
- Proceed south on CT. Turnpike/NE Thruway.
- Follow signs to Throgs Neck Bridge.
- Exit at Randall Avenue and continue along service road to first traffic light which is Randall Avenue.
- Make left turn and proceed to end (water front).
- Make a left turn on to Clarence Avenue and proceed to American Turners on the right.
From New Jersey/Manhattan:
- Take George Washington Bridge to Cross Bronx Expressway.
- Follow signs to Throgs Neck Bridge (295 South).
- Take the Randall Avenue exit (Exit 11)
- Make a left turn at the light on to Randall Avenue and proceed to the end (water front). You will pass Hollywood, Throgs Neck Expressway, Vincent, and Wilcox.
- Make a left turn on to Clarence Avenue and proceed to American Turners on the right.
From Long Island/Queens:
From Throgs Neck Expressway
- After toll plaza, keep right on Throgs Neck Expressway to Lafayette Avenue, Exit 2.
- Make immediate right turn on to Philip Avenue where exit meets service road.
- Proceed three blocks to Clarence Avenue and make a right.
- American Turners will be on the left.
From Whitestone Bridge
- Immediately after toll plaza, take Lafayette Avenue exit.
- Go to the first traffic light, make right turn and follow Lafayette to Clarence Avenue.
- Make a right turn; American Turners will be on the left.

Pelham Bay Park
Directions
By Car:
The Bruckner Expressway/ New England Thruway has two park exits, "Country Club Road/ Pelham Bay Park" and "Orchard Beach/ City Island." So does the Hutchinson River Parkway, at "Pelham Parkway East" and "Orchard Beach/ City Island." Pelham Parkway serves as a cross-town route to the park.
By Bus:
The Bx12, Bx29, Bx5, Bx52 and Westchester Line no. 45 serve the park. Orchard Beach is served by the Bx5 and Bx12 buses during the summer only. During the winter, take the Bx29 to the City Island Circle and walk to the beach.
By Subway:
Take the IRT No. 6 line to its last stop, Pelham Bay Park.

The Maritime College is easily accessible by car as follows:
From Brooklyn or Queens: Via the Whitestone Bridge: Pay toll at extreme right booth, take immediate right exit to traffic light, turn right to next traffic light, turn right then left onto I-295. Keep to right and take EXIT 9 (Harding Ave/Fort Schuyler) just before Throgs Neck Bridge. At EXIT 9 (Harding Ave/Fort Schuyler) take left fork, then make immediate right on to Harding Avenue. Proceed along Harding Avenue to stop sign. Turn left on Pennyfield Avenue to Maritime College gatehouse.
From Manhattan (East Side): North on East River Drive (FDR Drive) to either:
(a) Willis Avenue Bridge (no toll) then keep right to Bruckner Blvd. to ramp leading to I-278 Bruckner Expressway, then follow Throgs Neck Bridge signs to EXIT 9 (Harding Ave/Fort Schuyler) just before bridge. At EXIT 9 (Harding Ave/Fort Schuyler) take left fork, then make immediate right on to Harding Avenue. Proceed along Harding Avenue to stop sign. Turn left on Pennyfield Avenue to Maritime College gatehouse.
(b) Triborough Bridge ($4.00 toll) follow "New England" signs to Throgs Neck Bridge signs to EXIT 9 (Harding Ave/Fort Schuyler) just before bridge. At EXIT 9 (Harding Ave/Fort Schuyler) take left fork, then make immediate right on to Harding Avenue. Proceed along Harding Avenue to stop sign. Turn left on Pennyfield Avenue to Maritime College gatehouse.
From Manhattan (West Side): North on West Side Highway to 178 Street EXIT to I-95 North Cross Bronx Expressway. Follow Throgs Neck Bridge signs to EXIT 9 (Harding Ave/Fort Schuyler) just before bridge. At EXIT 9 (Harding Ave/Fort Schuyler) take left fork, then make immediate right on to Harding Avenue. Proceed along Harding Avenue to stop sign. Turn left on Pennyfield Avenue to Maritime College gatehouse.

From Long Island and Long Island Expressway I-495 West on Long Island Expressway to either Cross Island Parkway or Clearview Expressway to I-295 North to Throgs Neck Bridge; take Pennyfield Avenue-Fort Schuyler exit immediately after far-right toll station. Proceed along service road to 2nd stop sign (2 blocks). Make left on to overpass to Pennyfield Avenue to Maritime College gatehouse.

The Maritime College may be reached by public transportation from Manhattan via Pelham Bay Local of the Lexington Avenue (East side) I.R.T. Subway. Change at Westchester Square station, and take bus -- marked Fort Schuyler -- directly to the gate of the College, which is the last stop on this bus route. (Note: Trip from mid-town Manhattan can take ninety minutes).
The New York Bus Service offers express bus service between Manhattan and Throgs Neck. Call 718-994-5500 for stop information. The stop for Fort Schuyler is at the intersection of Pennyfield and Harding Avenues, approximately 1/2 mile from the campus.
